CHUAN PHILOSOPHY

In Chinese, “Chuan” means flowing water. As the source of life, water brings re-birth, renewal and rejuvenation. Similarly, Chuan Spa takes a holistic approach to wellness, embracing the centuries-old healing philosophies of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) incorporating the principles of the Five Elements – Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.

PHILOSOPHY

DESIGN

Contemporary and tranquil, Chuan has been designed to promote contemplation and discovery. Our Feng Shui-inspired interiors evoke the sensual harmony of an ancient Chinese garden.

Designed to gently nurture your Jing (life force), Qi (vital energy) and Shen (mind and spirit), the ambience will liberate one’s reflective Yin side from its more active Yang counterpart, realigning the body and restoring an inner balance to achieve rejuvenation.

TCM EXPERTISE AND EXCELLENCE

In addition to its signature treatments, Chuan partners with our TCM consultant who provide private consultations and specialist therapies. Paying emphasis on energy flow, basic elemental forces and the influence of hot and cold, our consultants suggest treatments with reference to the needs of each guest.

FINDING HARMONY WITH FIVE ELEMENTS

Upholding the centuries-old healing philosophies of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) combined with the principles of the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water), Chuan’s treatments focus on nurturing and supporting the three treasures of Jing (our life force), Qi (our vital energy) and Shen (mind and spirit), all of which lie at the core of wellness and vitality.
